Pumped Refrigerant Coolant System 

Liebert XD refrigerant-based cooling modules work as a system to support the hot aisle/cold aisle approach to cooling high heat density data centers. The modules provide focused rack cooling, enhancing a room precision cooling unit, such as a Liebert DS system. Pumped refrigerant is ideal for use around electronic equipment, operating at low pressure in the piping circuit, and becoming a gas at room conditions.

Spot and Zone Cooling for High Heat Density Equipment   Liebert XDV

 

- Rack cooling module mounts vertically on or above the IT rack enclosure, requiring no floorspace. It draws hot air from inside the cabinet or from the hot aisle. It then cools the air and discharges it down to the cold aisle. 
 

 

Spot and Zone Cooling for High Heat Density Equipment  Liebert XDO

 

- Overhead cooling module mounts directly above the cold aisle, requiring no floorspace. It draws in hot air from the hot aisle, then discharges cool air into the cold aisle where the equipment air inlets are located.

- Cooling module is designed to replace the back door of a server enclosure, providing cooling without increasing the rack footprint. The module uses the server fans within the protected rack to provide airflow, providing the most energy efficient design.

- In-row cooling module is placed directly in line with the rack enclosures, and requires very little floorspace. Air from the hot aisle is drawn in through the rear of the unit, cooled, and then discharged horizontally through the front of the unit into the cold aisle.

Application Matched Pumping Units for Liebert XD Systems

 

Liebert XDP with iCOM controls and Liebert XDC are system matched pumping units, designed to support Liebert XD System spot/zone cooling modules. The indoor pumping units circulate the refrigerant to the cooling modules at a temperature always above the actual dewpoint to prevent condensation.

Support for the XD Systems   Liebert XDC

 

- Coolant chiller unit is available in an air cooled configuration with remote condenser. In conjunction with the Liebert XD Cooling Modules, the Liebert XDC system can cool more than 30kW per rack.
 

 

Support for the XD Systems   Liebert XDP with iCOM

 

- Pumping unit is an isolating interface between the building chilled water system and the pumped refrigerant circuit. In conjunction with the Liebert XD Cooling Modules, the Liebert XDP system can cool more than 30kW per rack. Liebert XDP includes the Liebert iCOM monitoring and control system, for enhanced reliability and efficiency.

- Available in models that provide 17kW of cooling and 40U of rack space; and 25kW of cooling with 37U of rack space. 60 Hz or 50 Hz.
 

 

    Rack Enclosures with Water Based Cooling       Liebert XDR-W

 

- Rack cooler attaches to the back door of an enclosure. Fans in the module move air from the rack equipment through a cooling coil and expel it from the back of the unit, chilled to the point where the impact on the room is close to neutral.
